Happy Links: From Yoda to Adventure

IMG_8712.jpg

{Every Friday, I share a round-up of happy links because these resources have inspired me to make positive changes in my life. I hope they motivate and inspire you, too! Enjoy.}

In addition to work, I've been reading good books, articles online, hiking, and I also started swimming this week. The local pool opened, and I'm excited to get back into lap swimming.

I started swimming as a little kid, was part of my high school swim team, and as an adult, I joined a masters swim team. I missed my regular swims and was starting to feel desperate to get back into the water.

I wish we had a masters team in Yreka and a pool that was open year round, but I'll take what I can get. I'm going to enjoy the pool for the next few months. Plus, I have a swimming buddy, which makes me super happy!

Now onto this week's happy links ...

On Yoda & motivation.

I enjoyed Jess Lively’s interview with Hilary Rushford because it was so helpful.

A powerful podcast about money problems and life.

So good: "Paying Off a Mortgage in Seven Years."

A beautiful post about change, uncertainty, and unplugging: “The Unlikely Reaction to Filling Life’s Holes.”

I loved these essays: "On Opening to Love (again)” and “When the Dream Doesn’t Match the Reality.”

This one simple thing can make your life much better.

On working hard and loving it!

A great post on traveling solo.

So true: “You can choose to see every day as an opportunity for adventure, and welcome little moments of whimsy, or you can drudge through every day like it's a chore, totally numb."

Be well,

Tammy
