BIg Magic

{Every week, I share a round-up of happy links because these resources have inspired me to make positive changes in my life. I hope they motivate and inspire you, too! Enjoy.}

In January of 2015, we were still living in our town house, and before we moved back to the tiny house, I pre-ordered Elizabeth Gilbert’s new book, Big Magic: Creative Living Beyond Fear.

I’ve been anticipating the release of Big Magic because I adore Elizabeth Gilbert’s writing. However, I accidentally shipped the book to our old rental. Thankfully, Amazon lets you know when a package is delivered.

After I received the delivery confirmation, Logan and I drove to our old rental to pick up the book. The timing was perfect because the new tenant was in the driveway talking on the phone, and I was able to grab my package and go.

I started reading Big Magic immediately. I highly recommend buying a copy or snagging one at your local library. It’s inspiring, thought-provoking, and it’s helped me answer hard questions.

And speaking of Big Magic, Elizabeth Gilbert recommended Harley Loco: A Memoir of Hard Living, Hair, and Post-Punk, from the Middle East to the Lower East Side by Rayya Elias on her podcast. I bought the Kindle version and couldn’t put it down. It’s a powerful story about addiction and creativity.

A must-watch episode of Marie T.V.: “What Elizabeth Gilbert Wants You To Know About Big Magic.”

I love this simple, green smoothie.

Fascinating podcasts: “The Infidelity Episodes: The Betrayed and The Betrayers.”

So good: “What Consumes Your Mind Controls Your Life (and Finances).”
