Happy Links: From Creativity to Cats

My Morning View

{Every week, I share a roundup of 10 happy links that I think are worth reading, listening to, or scrolling through. I hope you like them, too!}

1. I loved reading Amanda’s thoughts on creativity, clothing, and simplicity: Why Owning 24 Items of Clothing Is Good For My Creativity.

2. Yes to this: Instead of Goals or Resolutions, Try Creating Rules.

3. I liked the prompts in this essay: A slight twist on reviewing your year (or life) that could be very, very…illuminating.

4. So true: Simplifying your life is a matter of heart.

5. Excellent notes via Austin Kleon about “A Room of One’s Own.”

6. 100 things that made my year.

7. This sounds like an interesting challenge: The Joy of One.

8. A fascinating article: The Zen of Swim.

9. Into Thin Air by Jon Krakauer was the first book I read in 2016. I felt like I was reading fiction because there was so much drama and suspense within the pages. However, the book was a very real and personal account of a horrible tragedy. I highly recommend it.

10. I was at The Book Exchange in Ashland, OR a few weeks ago and bought additional reading material for the month of January, including: Faery Tale: One Woman’s Search for Enchantment in a Modern World, What Now?, and Sleeping with Cats. I’m looking forward to reading a book a week during 2016.

11. Courtney Carver is offering a 21-day challenge called The Busy Boycott. It’s helpful and inspiring. Subscribe to Courtney’s mailing list for inbox inspiration, and she’ll send you The Busy Boycott Challenge for free.

12. Our year-long online course, A Simple Year is open until January 31, 2016. If you’d like to register for the class, read about the course and instructors over here. I will guide course participants through the digital and relationships segments of the class, and I’m looking forward to it.

With gratitude,
Tammy
