Happy Links: From The Art of Memoir to Favorites

Everyday Adventures

{Every week, I share a round-up of happy links because these resources have inspired me to make positive changes in my life. I hope they motivate and inspire you, too! Enjoy.}

The Art of Memoir by Mary Karr is a fantastic read! Karr’s chapter “Old-School Technologies for the Stalled Novice” made me happy. The chapter is short and focused on writing longhand to learn the craft of writing. I liked her idea of keeping a commonplace notebook filled with inspiring quotes. I’ve been thinking of creating a commonplace notebook since I discovered @ellbrt on Instagram. I can’t wait to get started!

Meghan offers a powerful critique of Breast Cancer Awareness month in her essay “Why October is Hard.”

The Chronicle Books Design Fellowship looks like a cool opportunity!

Beautiful photos: “The Intimate and Infinite Along the 100th Meridian.”

Last week, I was geeking out over grid paper and found a fun blog entry at Baum-Kuchen. I love reading about how people organize their journals.

These look delicious: “Cat-Shaped Marshmallows Are Here So Get Ready to Drink Only Hot Chocolate From Now On.”

I loved Jess’s September round-up of her favorite books, shoes, tech tools, and more.

With gratitude,

P. S. With the help of an amazing designer, Debbie O’Byrne, we created a beautiful 2016 wall calendar and planner called Everyday Adventures. I created both to help you cultivate a sense of adventure in your daily life! The calendar and planner are available to purchase.

      Christa, I might share a photo tour in November. We’re still settling into the space. I’d suggest checking out my Instagram feed. I’ve posted a few photos of our new place over there. 😉

    I shared the adorable kitty shaped marshmallows with my feral cat tnr group. We can get rather serious sometimes with the life/death situations we get involved with, but your post out a smile on a bunch of cat lovers’ faces. Thanks
