Happy Links: From Blogging Less to Kids

{At the end of each week, I share a round-up of happy links because these resources have inspired me to make positive changes in my life. I hope they motivate and inspire you, too! Enjoy.}

I’ve been blogging less and doing more of this: “Reaching for zen with each stroke and each lap.”

Good summer reads: Spinster: Making a Life of One’s Own and The Royal We.

Dogs annoying cats with their friendships” reminded me of Red and Elaina’s relationship. Red is my in-laws companion and Elaina is my cat. You can read additional stories about Red and Elaina here and here.

Lisa Congdon’s online sketchbook courses look fun!

Want to start your own business? Be inspired by Darby Banks. Last week, I heard about Darby’s story at Three Little Birds in Fort Jones, CA. The folks at Visit Scott Valley noted: “We love our young entrepreneurs here in Scott Valley. Here is a business created by 12 year old Scott Valley resident Darby Banks. Check out mommyshelper.co. As a mommy’s helper, Darby provides on site entertainment and supervision for kids so busy moms can get chores done.”

Isn’t Darby’s story inspiring? It reminded me of Meghan’s article about using your super power for good.

Share your good reads in the comments section.

With gratitude,
