A Photo Essay: Orr Lake & Beyond

Last week, I went on a day trip with my father-in-law. We went to Orr Lake, Tennant, and Antelope Creek. It was a great day! I’m working on an essay about the adventure and I’ll share it with my little letter subscribers next week. If you’re interested in reading the essay, subscribe to my little letter here.

In the meantime, I wanted to share my favorite iPhone photos from the day and a short audio clip.

I hope these images—and my audio message—inspire you to get outside and embrace everyday adventures.

With gratitude,

Your photos make me so happy! You capture such beautiful details and allow me a glimpse at places I may never visit in person, but can through you :))

Tammy I loved this (I always love your coffee cup shots most of all!) :), thank you so much for sharing.

I wanted to know what the beautiful blue flower is with multiple blooms on each stem. Can you tell us?

    Have a great week!

Thank you! I’m not sure what type of flower it is. I need to get a flower identification book. 😉

That would probably really add some spice to your walks. I do it here in NC to find out what trees and wildflowers I encounter and it is such a delight to know. Thanks for finding it if you do! 😀

It is a Penstemon flower. I love them!

Surely there’s an iPhone app for that!

Unless my eyes are playing tricks on me, it appears you now have a “litter” letter. It’s high time those cats got their own platform : )

LOL! Typos happen. Thanks for letting me know. That’s what I get for not sending the post to my copyeditor. I can’t believe I missed that one. Thanks again!

Tammy, I wish I could comment on your little letter, but this article is related so I’ll just say it here.
Your letter was so touching to me. The significance was beautiful and kept making me think of “Still Alice.” When I got to ‘Roy said, “Maybe it was Mahlon.”‘ I admit I cried a little. Such a wonderful way to show the journey you’ve taken as you cope with your loss. Thank you for this treasure. You are truly timeless.
