Happy Links: From Memories to The August Break

by Tammy Strobel on July 17, 2014

{Every week, I publish a series of inspiring links. Enjoy!}

My sister-in-law, Tina, wrote a beautiful essay called “Memories Do Not Burn.” I hope you will participate in 100 Days of Good Karma. More details here.

Typically, I’m not a fan of beauty posts, but this article is awesome: “Skin, joy, boobs, and the right hair colour: My random & rarely dispensed beauty notes.”

Pack like the minimalists was a sweet video. I have a similar packing style. Although, I don’t use a duffle bag. I have a small backpack that I adore. Yay for packing light!

All good reads: What I thought I wanted / The reboot / 10 Ways to Savor a Slice of Simplicity.

Are smart phones changing professional photography?

I’m so excited to be part of The August Break!

Be well,

P. S. Last week, I hosted a Desire Map Journal giveaway. I loved reading your comments about why journaling makes you happy. Today, I used random.org to draw the winners. The winners are:

  1. Andrea Zimmerl
  2. Erica Robinson
  3. Katie Probert

Congratulations ladies! Amanda Sandlin, from Danielle LaPorte’s stellar team, will be in touch to get your mailing address.

Very much enjoyed the post today. I will start my 100 days tomorrow . It is much needed after losing our 11 month old kitty this week

I’m sorry to hear about your kitty. That is so sad. :) I hope “100 Days of Good Karma” helps you.

I always look forward to your weekly links, and this week was extra good! Thanks

I read the beauty post and am happy to say, THANK YOU MINIMALISM and Tammy, Courtney and the Minimalists! I wash my face with a baby wash cloth and only water and then I rinse my mouth (after brushing), moisturize my body and my face, and make a smoothie and cook with good old Trader Joes coconut oil. One single jar of organic coconut oil for $5. I have my tiny house plans and a builder on board and figure my coconut oil will fit in perfectly.
Thank you Tammy and rock on, you are creating a village.
