Happy Links: From Hats to a Tiny Library

by Tammy Strobel on May 1, 2014

Magical Cat{Every week, I publish a series of inspiring links. Enjoy!}

This weekend, Logan and I will be in Portland! I’m excited to connect with friends, and even more excited to attend Dee Williams’s book reading at Powell’s. I’m happy “The Big Tiny” is doing so well!

And speaking of books, I had the opportunity to read an advance copy of “She Makes Hats.” I loved the book! It was an inspiring and helpful read. Thanks to Robyn, I’m going to start knitting again.

On love and loss, plus a “My Morning View” giveaway. Details here.

Portraits of the American Craftsman” is a stunning book!

I enjoyed the CBS segment, but I thought the discussion the newscasters had afterward was very condescending as they laughed about “where do you put the big screen TV?” I understand that it is not for everyone, but I think they could have been more respectful of the choices of those who choose to live more simply.

I agree, Christine. I didn’t appreciate their comments. However, I thought the segment was good and it was nice to see such a big outlet cover Dee’s story and her book. I hope lots of folks buy it. Hope you are well. Sending you hugs.

I would miss my books if I moved to a smaller place. I know there are many I could donate but I have favorites that are re-read.

“Portraits of the American Craftsman” looks very nice.

LOVE the CATable (wondering how much shipping is)

Dear Tammy, I love this photo !… the cat and his nice profile, the tiny cup of coffee, and the immensity of the nature around. Beautiful contrast and gorgeous light. And also all your interesting links. Thanks for your generosity :-)

I was so happy that I could see Dee at her book signing in Denver. It takes a lot of effort to get myself out of the house these days, and it was worth it!
