Everyday Life: The Ranch, Winners & The Sprocket

{Photography helps me see the world differently and enables me to be less sad about my dad’s death. Since I’ve been taking so many photos, I decided to begin a new series on the blog called  “Everyday Life.” Enjoy!}

Last week, I hosted another book giveaway and I was amazed by your comments. Over 500 readers told me about tiny pleasures that bring them happiness! If you need a little inspiration to start Monday morning, read through the comment thread here.

Early this morning, I used random.org to choose the winners. Georgia ClarkLinda, and Deborah Auen won a copy of my new book, You Can Buy Happiness (and it’s Cheap). Ladies, I’ll send you an email shortly to get your mailing address.

Yesterday, Logan and I were on The Sprocket Podcast. It was a lot of fun chatting with Brock. We talked about the book, life on the ranch, and what it’s been like biking in a rural area. You can listen to the podcast by clicking here.

In other news, I’ve been writing and taking lots of pictures. Enjoy today’s photo round-up and have a great week!

    I’m loving all the ranch photos! It’s getting me really jazzed to move out to the country in a few years. So pretty.

    So pretty. I was up in your area two weekends ago visiting Crater Lake and it was nice to see so much snow still on Mount Shasta in September.

    Hey Tammy, these photographs are really brilliant – you capture the light really beautiful, I hope you will be sharing some of these tips in your upcoming photography class 🙂 Did you take all these shots on your 50mm lens? I recently bought one, and it literally changed my life! The autumn colours are spreading across the mountain in the French Alps where I live, making it seem ablaze with yellows, oranges, reds and golds, I’m looking forward to capturing them.

    Hope you are loving life on the Ranch, it looks very peaceful and beautiful and simple and happy – HURRAH!

    Katie. X

      Thanks Katie! I’m excited about my photography class too. I’m planning on running it in mid-January. I’m so excited! 🙂

      I took about half of the shots with my 50mm lens and the other half were taken with my iPhone.

    Hi Tammy

    Love the pics and how u captured the rays of the sun plus ur pets are too cute. My great grandma/god mother recently passed in June..I haven’t really ben the same since but I don’t think anyone is truly untouched when a close relative passes on but i found myself a drift not settled at all…I just want to recommend energy psychology it really helped me get balanced it works on the unconscious level mind body n spirit.. It’s roots are in chiropratic..something compelled me to tell ya about it.. Best wishes on your beautiful journey of life.. -Brandi
