Inspiring Links: Ashland & Simplicity

{Every week, I publish a small round-up of my favorite articles, books, photos, and other goodies. Enjoy!}

Early Thursday morning, Logan and I biked into Yreka, ate some lunch and did a little bit of work. Later in the day, we carpooled to Ashland with my in-laws for my author event at Bloomsbury Books.

I was really nervous before the talk but it went great; about twenty people came to the event and they asked a lot of wonderful questions! One of my favorite parts of giving talks is answering questions about the book and our story. I feel more at ease when I’m answering questions, rather than giving a formal talk.

If you are ever traveling through Ashland stop by Bloomsbury Books. It’s a wonderful space and they even have a coffee shop upstairs. Be sure to check them out on Facebook!

Now onto this week’s link round-up . . .

Last night Logan bought me a yummy chai tea and a copy of Daring Greatly. I love Brené Brown’s writing and I can’t wait to read her new book!

The Minimalists recently redesigned their site. It looks really lovely. And their new book, Simplicity, is available in paperback and on the Kindle.

Other books that I can’t wait to read: From Blog to Book Deal & Rebel Mama.

A powerful talk about closure. Thanks Alexander for passing this along.

Loved this post about self-worth and net-worth.

Where to see the best fall foliage.

Abandoned spaces reclaimed by art.

I purchased Snapseed for my iPhone last week and LOVE it.

The Kind Little Blog.

Are you hiding?
