These photos ARE inspiring! WDS looks huge! How fabulous. Thanks for sharing the inspiration and for all your good work.
@Sandra – It was an amazing event. There were 1,000 attendees this year!
WDS was amazing! Everything was so perfect that I can’t even imagine how much work must have gone into the planning and execution. You guys rocked an awesome event. It was so nice meeting you. Sending lots of love and wishing you luck in all your endeavors.
Last week was definitely an eye opener in terms of how much sugar I was taking in, even without eating sweets. Shopping Sunday was incredibly simple and near impossible at the same time. Its amazing how many things I was used to eating that had sugar in them when there was no reason for it to be there. (most kinds of bread have sugar or some sort of sweetener in them. Why I have no idea).
WDS sounds amazing. I’d love to go sometime, but can’t even begin to imagine affording it at the moment.
Glad to hear I’m not the only one who fell off the wagon! I’m cutting down on sugar, junk food, and wheat to get back to my healthy self and lose a little weight in time for my wedding on Sept 1st! My fiancé and I live downtown, close to restaurants and convenience stores…this is bad! It’s way too easy to get access to unhealthy food and, as you discovered, unless you plan your meals you’re going to end up grabbing whatever is easiest to access, and usually that’s not the best food. Luckily, we also have a couple good farmers markets not too far away and today we stocked up on veggies and berries.
As for WDS, hoping that I can attend next year! In the mean time, looking forward to your eCourse in August 🙂
Thanks for sharing your experience and lovely pictures!
Tammy, I have been reading many exciting news snippets about WDS. Wouldn’t it be wonderful if a major political campaign would adopt many of these WDS ideas?
Hey, Tammy! Just listened to your update and loved hearing about WDS and what’s happening with you. I also had a small slip on my sugar-busting efforts. It is all about time, isn’t it? In my case, I’m still under the gun at my job and working like a mad woman to meet multiple deadlines. I grabbed lunch on the fly to eat at my desk and wound up with a sandwich because that’s what was easy and available. You are so right – planning really is everything to make the no sugar challenge work! I usually take my lunch to work, but just didn’t have time yesterday to pull together enough food, so had to depend on what I could find quickly when I ran out.
Loved listening to your audio Tammy – glad to hear you are eating well, and don’t beat yourself up too much about the small sugar-slip ups: you are on the right track and doing a super job! 🙂 As long as you are happy and healthy, that is the main thing 🙂
The photos look great, really exciting I bet. And I can’t wait to sign up for your writing workshop this summer, yeeeehooooooooooo!
